In recent years, Vakoma have developed individual substitute designs for all major aged equipment in the cement works originally produced by SKET and ABUS; hence, there is a technical lead which customers, in particular those desiring adaptive replacement solutions, can resort to.

These developments do not only comprise an adaptation to the existing sites, but also take into account performance increase required, both in output and higher speeds, specifically for the DD3170 and DDD4640 kiln drive units. Moreover, advanced replacement gear drive units are available for all relevant mill gear drives such as D3500; D3600; ZM1600; 40A7-4300; A2800, etc.

These designs are particularly advantageous in that process outage time attributable to the adaptation is extremely short, i.e. mill service is resumed very soon.
